Greetings to all members and colleagues!
On behalf of KOCHAM, I am very pleased to announce that our website has been reorganized with new
and updated content and styles. I am confident that it will provide a solid foundation for the exchange of
useful information among our member companies and other related businesses.
KOCHAM, founded in June 1992 as national non-profit organization, represents over 300 U.S.-based
Korean businesses located throughout the United States. Our member companies include major Korean
corporations, financial institutions, and various non-profit organizations.
It also includes specialized members comprised of locally based attorneys, accountants, and other service professionals with
connections to Korea.
KOCHAM is actively involved in the support and success of its member companies, and we thus provide
our members with several different kinds of events. For instance, we host monthly seminars, luncheon
talks, and business-oriented workshops headed by distinguished outside speakers, and we also send
daily news emails. Together, these events work to help our member companies effectively cope with
the continuously changing business environment in the U.S. Also, to voice the concerns of our members,
we annually send delegates to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressional leaders and represent the
companies. In addition, in order to promote and facilitate the socialization and connection between the
members, governmental agencies, and media representatives, KOCHAM hosts annual events such as
the Golf Tournament and the Dinner Party. Further, to provide resources for Korean-American students,
KOCHAM operates the Weekend Korean School and the College Internship Program.
As the chairman of KOCHAM, I am happy to express my deep appreciation to all of our members for
their continuous and powerful support for KOCHAM, and I sincerely hope that this website will provide
a strong foundation for our members and friends. I am very much excited to see the success and
flourishing of our member companies in the future. On behalf of KOCHAM, I thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Yoo Jong Wan, Chairman
